How Near-Death Experiences Are Changing The World

On January 27th and March 16th of 2012, I gave two talks in Sedona entitled “How Near-Death Experiences Are Changing The World”. Shortly thereafter, a two-part video was created to share this information with the general public. To date, Part One has been viewed 13,076 times and received 89 “likes” and 8 “dislikes”. Part Two has been viewed 8,052 times and received 69 “likes” and 4 “dislikes”. Our local NDE classes were created to explore this information in greater depth.

Becki Hawkins’ Presentation

The presentation that Becki Hawkins gave in Sedona on October 9th, 2012 has now been viewed almost 1,300 times on YouTube!

Barbara Whitfield’s New Video

While we didn’t have time to play this video in class, I wanted to be sure everyone saw it. What makes this video especially relevant to the topics we’ve been discussing is that Barbara describes how her near-death experience helped her understand the dynamics behind her life, including the abuse she suffered as a child at the hands of her mentally disturbed mother. During her NDE, as Barbara saw how and why everything had unfolded the way it did, she says she heard herself saying, again and again, “No wonder! No wonder!”

The Life Review Discussion

For the last couple of months, we’ve been studying The Light & The Light Review (pdf). Tonight we completed the final part of this paper, “6. Life Reviews from God’s Perspective”. Two videos were played and discussed — the first featured an interview with NDEr Andy Petro, while the second featured a Vietnam Veteran, Steven P., describing some of NDE aftereffects. Before I play the interview with Andy, here’s a short video in which Andy describes his near-death experience:

…….

Next comes Andy’s interview with Victoria Vanayerst. The part that we played begins at 36:17 and runs until 44:22. We paid special attention to Andy describing how, after decades of practice, he learned how to re-enter the realms of light and love he experienced during his NDE. Andy reports that he discovered that “the silence space existing between his thoughts” was where the energy is, where the unconditional love is, where the connection to God was. When asked if there was a simple technique that ordinary people could use to enter this space, Andy replied that it took him years of practice, of meditating, and of unconditionally loving, doing and being nice to people without having any expectation of his loving thoughts and actions being returned. According to Andy, as we practice loving others unconditionally, this raises our vibration to higher levels, which, in turn, helps us slip into the realms of light and love that he experienced during his NDE. Andy also describes the freedom his discovered in making a list of people he felt had caused him harm and unconditionally loving and forgiving them.

…….

While Andy talked about what we could do to lift ourselves up to higher places in consciousness, what happens to us when these higher states of consciousness actually touch us? In this last video, Vietnam Vet Steven P. describes how his encounter with God left him unable to harm others anymore. The portion of this video that we played during the class began at 03:30 and ran until the end.

A Newly Emerging Spiritual Path

Unlike spiritual paths that arose from the ideas and inner experiences of lone, isolated human beings, the path presented by near-death experiences is emerging as a direct, grassroots revelation that millions of people from all over the world are receiving and sharing. If we explore this newly emerging path deeply enough, we discover that all religions, philosophies, and cultures are honored; that science and spirituality are celebrated; that both the human and spiritual side of our natures are cherished and embraced. In short, near-death experiences present us with a universal, all-inclusive, perfectly integrated spiritual path that revolves around three core truths: 1. We are all one; 2. Love is the essence of life; 3. We are here, in this world, to become perfect embodiments of the divine.
